CV

Originally from Lawrence Park in Toronto, bachelor of science studies took me to the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, where I enjoyed the West-coast lifestyle and a complete educational experience. Subsequent career searching led to my return to Ontario for studies at Sheridan College in the faculty of Architectural Technology. Finally settling in Oakville afforded me the opportunity to work for architectural practices in Toronto, Cambridge, Hamilton and, finally, closer to home to gain experience with various firms in Oakville.

While learning my trade with local practitioners, I served as vice-chair to the Town of Oakville architectural heritage committee while holding the position of architectural advisor for the Board of Directors of the Oakville Historical Society. These opportunities aligned closely with my interest and passion for heritage preservation and respectfully-designed solutions to growing needs of families within their heritage dwellings.

My practice has become rooted in the philosophy of the “not so big house theory” first proposed by renowned Architect Sarah Susanka. My designs reflect thoughtful and resolved solutions to challenges as presented in dwellings which are as individual as clients themselves.

I’d be happy to speak with you about your ideas for improvements to your home or office. Feel free to contact me. If I don’t answer right-away, I’m chasing wild trout in wild places…
